Marcus Körner

Managing Director

Managing Director and sole shareholder of the IWD Group, he acquired professional experience in the areas of neurobiology, marketing, media production and technology before founding the IWD market research Institute in Magdeburg, Germany, in 1998.

Born in 1971, in Magdeburg, he completed a medical-technical education in 1988 and 1989 at the Institute for Neurobiology and Brain Research Magdeburg. There, he was mainly involved in the technical measurement of brain functioning. After further studies in the area of radio technology and IT electronics in Wuppertal from 1990 to 1993, he studied marketing in Leipzig until 1998.

In the final year, he founded the media agency Körner & Partner, which is specialized in the European radio market. He assumed the role of chief editor of the radio station Radio Europe based in Daun/Eifel from 1998 to 2001. He founded the IWD market research Institute in 1998.

In 2004, together with a partner, Körner founded Medialysis GmbH, a company that is specialized in telemetric measurement of radio usage.

For that reason, he was chosen among the „30 people of Magdeburg’s future“ in 2007. In the following year the IWD market research Institute was nominated for the German Market Research Award for its Medialysis System; and in 2009, it was honoured as the most family-friendly company in Magdeburg with the „Work-Life-Balance Award“.

Sandra Baethge

Senior Project Manager International

Sandra has been with IWD since 2004 and supervises international business projects in her role as Senior Project Manager International.

It is important for Sandra to always stay curious and sometimes test new ways and methods of achieving the goals of her clients. Since 2015 Sandra is teaching at the Hochschule Baden Württemberg. Therefor she shares her experiences of international retail research with the students of Business Economic.

To balance her business project activities, Sandra enjoys running and diligently trains for her next half marathon.

Kordula Later

Senior Project Manager Germany/Austria/Switzerland

As Senior Project Manager for the German clients, Kordula mainly coordinates CATI & CAPI studies in Germany and in Europe.

During her studies, she actively participated in various projects within the scope of an internship, and was able to acquire many experiences and insights in market research. Since her graduation in 2001, she has been working in Project Management at IWD market research GmbH. She is responsible for the planning, organization and managing of different projects. Her main task is to coordinate F2F, CAPI and mystery shopping projects.

Sabine Volkmann

Country Manager

Sabine has been employed by IWD in 2010. She is responsible for the International Team and for Expansion.

She finds balance to her work in the creative field and in sport activities, as well as in job related travels and the contact with very varied circles of people that it entails.

Kristin Wesemann

Senior Project Manager Germany/Austria/Switzerland

Kristin Wesemann began working as Junior Project Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland after completing her studies in sociology and pedagogy in March 2012.

She started working at IWD market research GmbH in August 2004 as an interviewer and continued in this field till 2008. In consequence of the experience and insights acquired in a multitude of various projects, Kristin assumed the position of Supervisor and Field Lead in Germany. Nowadays she is Junior Project Manager for Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Alina Kahl

Junior Project Manager International

Alina has been part of the IWD team since 2012. Her studies brought Alina to Magdeburg in 2008. At the University of Magdeburg, she completed her bachelor‘s degree in International Management and spent an exciting semester abroad in Riga. Through an internship during her subsequent master’s studies, she came to IWD in 2012, and started working in the area of data preparation. After finishing her master studies she started working as junior project manager in 2013.

What Alina especially likes about her job are the new and exciting challenges, which every single project brings along.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her dog during long walks in the park.

Maria Wyss

Human Resources & Finance

Maria has been working at IWD market research GmbH since 2006. During the first three years, she successfully completed training as a management assistant in office communication. Beforehand, she already received an applied degree in Economics. Today, Maria is head of accounting, HR management and administration. She is the very soul of the IWD market research GmbH.

Maria finds balance to her work in her family, her house, and her hobbies. She is an enthusiastic football and ice hockey fan!

Van Hoang

Report & Design

Van comes from Vietnam and has lived in Magdeburg with her family for years. During her studies in Business Economic she was doing an internship at the IWD market research. She took place in several interesting projects. Thereby Van got to know the diversity of market research.

She has been employed by IWD in 2006 and is responsible for the preparation of studies and design. The reasons why Van became a part of the IWD are the variety, the freedom for being creative and the visible results of her job.

She likes to spend her spare time with her family. Furthermore Van loves cooking. „It is not a hard job to prepare a meal it is more fun.“ A meal in company with her Family is very important to her. It shows gregariousness and is part of her daily routine.

Madeline Rieger

Head of Data Analysis

In September 2007, Madeline Rieger became a part of the IWD team. Her tasks include the processing of survey data received by IWD Market Research GmbH. This includes, along with data control and preparation, analysis of all the data. Her job includes also the administration of the Blackberry and Samsung devices technology.

She began her career in 2004, with school training as a design assistant with a focus on media/communication. This was followed by a successful completion of a one-year technical school training course in design. After that, she continued a two-year double study program to become a communication specialist. During this time, she did an internship at IWD market research GmbH. Having already started her professional career, she began the last stage of her professional training by obtaining an IHK certification for marketing communication assistant, while continuing to work.

In her personal life, she is often creative in her free time and likes to design projects for her family and for herself, which she then gladly implements.

She is also a passionate acrylic painter and is slowly building her own studio.

Mathias Keitel

Senior Data Analyst

In September 2012, Mathias finished his bachelor degree in Statistics at the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. He began working at IWD market research GmbH in February 2013.

He is responsible for the preparation and analysis of data like in the field of catchment area research and mapping tests.

In his leisure time he loves swimming, running and riding his bike. Mathias also likes relaxing with friends or his family for example during watching a soccer game. He is a big fan of soccer. If he wants to calm down in a quieter environment Mathias likes it to read a good book.

Simon Meinecke

Assistent Financial Accountant

Simon and Maria are together the very soul of IWD. Since he finished school in 2004, Simon went straight away to the University. At the Otto-von-Guericke-University he was studying cultural science from 2005 to 2008. Subsequently after his academic career he started the professional one. Simon did an apprenticeship as office administrator in 2008. Once he finished it successfully he was employed. In March 2014 he started working for the field of administrative accounting at IWD.

Simon loves to listen to music for that reason he became a passionate collector of sound recording mediums. He is also a fan of American Football. If he wants to calm down after a hard day of work, he watches one of his favorite series.

Yves Reinecke

Country Manager North

Since 2005 is Yves a part of the IWD family. In the beginning he was working as an interviewer and later as Supervisor. Nowadays, Yves is a junior project manager for the international orders, because of his long working experience at IWD market research GmbH.

In his leisure time he likes to play soccer with his friends or watch one of the games on television. A tour with his bike is also one of his ways to relax, after a busy day at work. If he really wants to calm down he starts drawing or is reading a comic. Yves is interested in going to the cinema or reading a book, too. He prefers cyberpunk and the genre film noir.

Andreea Weiszmann

Country Manager East

Since April 2016 is Andrea as Country Manager East at IWD. Her professional career started way more early in 2012. Previously her academic career was started in 2009 at the Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg. Over three years she was studying sociology and psychology. She finished it successful and does internships at several market research companies afterwards. In the following year 2013 she started as an interviewee at IWD. But before she came to Magdeburg she became a Supervisor.

To get a good working-life balance she likes to read books, especially Thriller. But she also need the physical effort of swimming to calm down. Another way to relax is a bike tour for her or playing tennis.

Tobias Grauke

Junior Data Analyst

Our junior data analyst Tobias has finished school in 2007. Afterwards he started his professional career with an apprenticeship as mercantile man in retail business. But he wanted more and decided to study. At the Otto-von-Guericke-University of Magdeburg he studied International Management in 2010. To conclude his academic training he did his master in Business Economics and finished it as Master of Science in 2016. Subsequently Tobias worked as trainee at the IWD market research GmbH. Nowadays he takes place at the data analysis in our team.

Accordingly to a hard day of work, Tobias relaxes during a bike tour through the nature. Soccer is also a passion of him especially if he can watch it surrounded by his friends no matter who is playing.

Julia Ramdohr

Junior Project Management Germany/Austria/Switzerland

Julia loves Magdeburg, which was one reason for her to study in Magdeburg after she finished school in 2012. At the Otto-von-Guericke-University she finished her Bachelor of Science in the field of economics in 2015. What follows was an internship in the public service sector and the financial service sector. Julia made her first working experience in the field of customer care service at a well-known airline.

She is very companionable. For that reason Julia spends most of her time with family and friends. She also likes it to go to the cinema or to stroll around the inner city of Magdeburg. Another passion of her is travelling. Julia already went to parts of Asia, America and Europe.

Davina Zimonczyk

Country Manager South

As a language-enthusiast Davina decided study in the field of economics and tourism management at the Hochschule Harz in 2007. After she attained her Bachelor’s degree she went to Flensburg for her Master’s degree in Management studies to broaden her position for prospective employers.

Subsequently she came back home to Magdeburg to start her career. At first she worked in the sector of marketing and afterwards in the field of sales and distribution until she became part of the IWD market research GmbH. Since July 2016 she is employed as Country Manager South in the field of international project management. Davina is responsible for organizing projects in the southern countries.

In her leisure time she loves playing piano and painting. As a change from the daily routine she also enjoys playing Badminton every once in a while.

Josephine Skiba

Assistent Marketing

Since March 2016, Josephine is a part of our IWD team. She is employed as a working student in the field of marketing. The most time of her week she spends on studying Management at the Otto-von-Guericke-University of Magdeburg.

The first working experiences she gained during studying Business Economics in Magdeburg. She has done several internships and worked in different companies as a part time worker. Furthermore Josephine spends a view times in foreign countries, too. A semester abroad in Indonesia was her latest international experience. Josephine loves travelling and learning languages. She is interested in Sport, as well, to compensate the stress. A dinner with friends, which was cooked in company is something that grounded her.

Lisa Reinhardt

Working Student Germany/Austria/Switzerland

She finishes school in 2013 and went afterwards for three month to Mallorca to work as a host. Lisa is studying social science at the Otto-von-Guericke-University since 2013. She studied in Magdeburg for six semester now. At the moment Lisa works as trainee in the field of project assistance for Germany, Austria und Swiss.

She loves to travel around the globe and relaxes with listening music. Otherwise she likes doing sport. The past eight years she does Jiu Jitsu, an Asian combat sport. Nowadays she is going to the gym.

Charlotte Schulz

Working Student Germany/Austria/Switzerland

Charlotte is from Salzwedel and did her Abitur in 2014. After she finished school she went to Magdeburg to study Social Science at the Otto-von-Guericke-University. Since February of 2017 Charlotte is a part of the IWD Team. At first she started as intern and now she became a working student in the field of project management national.

To calm down and relax she likes running. Another passion of Charlotte is to visit concerts. Another way to spend her leisure time is to travel to the Baltic sea for holidays.

Maria Mihaelva

Working Student International

Maria came from Burgas, Bulgaria, to Magdedurg at the end of 2012 in order to start her bachelor at the Otto-von-Guericke University. Now she has finished her Bachelor of Science in International Business and Economics and started her master studies at the same university. At the beginning of 2017 she started her practical experience at IWD as a working student and trainee.

Maria likes spending time with her friends and doing sports. She has trained various types of dancing styles for ten years since she was seven-years-old. In August 2012, she turned her hobby into a part of her seasonal job teaching other people how to dance salsa and bachata. Since she moved to Magdeburg she replaced her dancing lessons with the local gym.

Kevin Trenkler

Working Student International

Kevin comes from the tri-state-area of Germany-Poland-Czech-Republic. He gained his first international experiences during an exchange student program in the United States of America in 2008/2009. Afterwards he finished school in 2011 and started studying at the Otto-von-Guericke-University in Magdeburg. He did his Bachelor of Science and started the Master in Management straight away.

Kevin likes sports and is pretty active. For that reason he plays Volleyball and works as an assistant coach in his leisure time. He also watches soccer games, the NFL or follows his favorite team during the NBA season.

Nadine Tomasini

Working Student Germany/Austria/Switzerland

Nadine was born in the near of Bayreuth and did her Abitur in 2012. Her academic career was started right away at the Julius-Maximilians-University in Würzburg. There she studied successful Business Science as bachelor student. Since summer 2016 she studied Business Economics at the Otto-von-Guericke-University in Magdeburg.

If there is nice weather Nadine likes to go by bike but in the snowy and much colder season she loves snowboarding. Furthermore she dreamed of nice and hidden places all around the globe to travel to or of adventures she has already done.

Torsten Siek

Working Student Data Analysis

Torsten grows up in Ostwestfalen-Lippe and did his economical Abitur in Bielefeld in 2010. Afterwards he has done a voluntary social year. In 2013 he alternates from Lectureship to Social Science. He finished his bachelor in 2016 and started his master program right away at the Otto-von-Guericke-University in Magdeburg. Since 2017 Torsten is a part of the IWD Team as working student in the field of data analysis.

In his leisure time Torsten is a passionate Ultimate Frisbee player at “Schleudertrauma” Magdeburg. His other lover named Duke is a male Dalmatian, who needs to get a lot of time in the nature. If he spends his time with duke he has the chance to calm down easily after a hard day. Furthermore he helps to organize a festival named “Holter Meeting Umsonst und Draußen”.

Berit Möck

Working Student Germany/Austria/Switzerland

Our blithe spirit Berit is originally from Hamburg and did her Abitur in 2010. Afterwards she started her academic career at the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg as a bachelor student of Economics. She started her master in International Economics and Policy Consulting right after her bachelor degree. Since March 2017, Berit is one of IWDs working students in the field of national project management.

In her leisure time, Berit danced for several years standard dance. She loves long hiking tours and walks and spending time with her family.

Sanna Havekost

Working Student Germany/Austria/Switzerland

Sanna is originally from Brunswick, did her Abitur in 2013 and after that she was doing a voluntary social year. Since 2014 she is at the Otto-von-Guericke-University in Magdeburg as a student of Social Science. Sinve February 2017 she is at the IWD. At first as inter and now as a working student in the field of project management national.

Most of her time, Sanna spends with family and friends or she spends her time, if possible, with travelling through Europe.

Christin Pforte

Junior Project Manager Germany/Austria/Switzerland

Christin started her academical career after her Abitur in Wernigerode and studied business psychology. Right after her bachelor degree in 2014 she started the master in Management and Marketing in Lüneburg. Since the beginning of 2017 she started working at IWD market research GmbH as project manager national.

Christin enjoys running, this is a good opportunity for her to relax. Otherwise she likes spending her evenings with family and friends including a good handmade dinner. Christin loves cooking and is a passionate baker.

Katarina Borgardt

Junior Project Management Germany/Austria/Switzerland

Katarina did her Abitur in 2009 and went to the Otto-von-Guericke-University in Magdeburg for her Bachelor degree in Business Economics straight away. After that she finished her academical career as Master of Science in 2016. During her studies she did several internships to gain working experience. She worked as intern at SWM in the field of marketing and worked at A & O Pyrogames.

Katarina loves her Hometown, for that reason she spend most of her leisure time with family and friends. Otherwise she is very active and likes going by bike. She traveled the Elberadweg from Cuxhaven to Dresden already.

Lisa Jauch

Junior Project Management Germany/Austria/Switzerland

Lisa is originally from Weimar and went to Fulda after finishing school in 2009. There she studied successfully ecotrophology. She finishes her bachelor in 2015 and started Nutritional, Food and Consumer Sciences as master program in Kiel. During her time as student she made several internships in the field of marketing project management at the August Storck KG and in the field of public relations. After Lisa achieved her master degree she went to New Zealand for a seven month long work and travel stay. Since November 2016 she is a part of the IWD Team as junior project manager national.

Lisa is interested in a healthy lifestyle caused by her field of studying and for that reason she developed a passion for running. She took place in some running events, too. Otherwise she likes to develop her new hometown Magdeburg with friends.

Isabell Wadlinger

Working Student National

Since 2016 Isabell is a working student at IWD in the field of project management national. She finished school in 2013 with her Abitur in Frankenthal. Afterwards she started her academic career at the Otto-von-Guericke-University in Magdeburg. There Isabell is studying Business Economics. During her time at school and university Isabell gained several working experiences in different companies. She worked as trainee at Roemer and Höhmann strategisches design GbR and as Sorter at Hermes Versandhandel. Furthermore she spent some time abroad. At first she went to the USA as an exchange student in 2009 for half a year, afterwards she visited the country in the following years. She also went to Marbella as an Au Pair for 5 month.

Isabell like relaxing while reading but she also enjoys a nice evening in company with family and friends and handmade dinner. Isabell likes sailing and horseback riding and whenever it is possible she starts travelling.

Gudrun Wiener

Project Assistant Austria

I’m the project management assistant of the Austrian Office. My job is to recruit new interviewers, to prepare consequentially the next weeks, to manage the daily challenges and to help Viorica in almost every aspect as good as I can.

Before joining IWD I studied classical Archeology at the University of Graz. In 2007 I moved to Vienna for my studies in Early Christian Archeology and Jewish Studies. After one year in Arezzo, Toscana, where I joined a small team of paper and parchment restorers, I returned to Vienna to finish my studies. Among other duties I spend my whole free time in my small house at the lakeside.

Leyla Ukalo

Project Manager Sweden

I have been working for IWD Market Research for about 1 year (I started at the beginning of 2014). As a person, I'm very outgoing and very easy to connect with people.

The job as a supervisor for different projects in Sweden has made me grow career wise and to be working in an environment with so many positive colleagues and clients has made me grow personally.

Anastasia Poulozu

I work for IWD since February 2014. Being part of the IWD team is a great experience and challenge for me because every day I face new situations where I can use my skills and knowledge. The working environment is incredibly positive, the tasks are diversified and I get to meet and talk to so many different individuals.

Bettina Balazs

I have been working for IWD since July 2012. I started as a project assistant and I became a project manager in 2013.I am responsible for organizing market research projects in Hungary, and I also had the possibility to participate in projects in Spain, and in Croatia.

I’m glad to be a part of IWD team, because I always have the opportunity to meet new people, and travel to other countries. In my free time I like reading and doing sports.

Viorica Maria Jeler

Project Manager Austria

Since the beginning of the Austrian project in 2013, Victoria Maria is part of IWD international team. She holds a Bachelor degree in Marketing and as a student of the Master Marketing- & Sales Management she brings experience in various fields such as Organization and Planning, Leadership and Resource Management. She is responsible for the project success within a certain set of restraints. Activities like planning, time and costs estimating, monitoring progress and managing risks and issues are part of her job as project manager.

She defines herself as a positive and calm, but also involved person. She focuses on rectifying the situation when something goes not according to plan, keeping a smile for every day.

Irena Kirqkova

Project Manager Bulgaria

Irena Kirqkova graduated from Tourism College in city of Varna, Bulgaria but working in the fields of marketing and researching was more attractive to her.

Before she joined the IWD she had been working like interviewer and supervisor for 8 years for other marketing and researching companies in Bulgaria. This type of work gives her joy and lots of emotions.She loves travelling and meeting many people.

Jose Antonio Pino Muňoz

Project Manager Spain

I started to work for IWD in autumn 2014. I enjoy being part of IWD, of a unique team where each member has its own identity in the team, in which competence and common sense are very important qualities. But most important for me is that here I meet with a permanent challenge in learning something new.

Júlia Tureková

I work for the IWD marketresearch as a Junior Project Manager in Czech republic and Slovakia since October 2011.

I am responsible for recruiting the Interviewers as well as of supervision of different projects in these countries. I like working with people in international environmet, that`s why is this job full of challenges and fun for me. :-)

I`ve gratuated at Univesity of Economics in Bratislava, I like travelling, learning languages and eating chocolate.

Anca Burescu

My name is Anca and I was born in Romania, but I have been living in Italy for 8 years, where I started to be involved in the IWD projects in 2012. That gave me the opportunity to met a lot of great people who helped me to improve myself, step by step, in order to do my job fully trusting in me and in the others.

I have always like to met a lot of people, to listen and talk to them. I realize that knowing the others is the best way of having a great collaboration since everything became clear and simple. The work goes easy and the time is not measured as a „work time“ but as „pleasure time“. And that is the formula, that in my opinion, can create something that can grow, resist and last. :-)
